Shalsheles Bais Yaakov is an all-girls Hebrew day school. We take pride in our highly academic and fully-accredited Jewish and secular education. Each student is encouraged to invest in her grades and reach her utmost potential. Students who require educational support are given all services to enable them to flourish.
The structured learning environment at Shalsheles is coupled with sensitivity, warmth, and love. Each student is embraced in our non-judgmental, accepting atmosphere. The girls arrive from various different backgrounds; many are from public school, some are the only religious ones in their family, and others are from completely religious homes. The desire to connect and grow spiritually and educationally is a common ground between each of our students.
Our students graduate as proud, highly-educated Jewish girls.
We keep our classes small to give each student the chance to shine amongst her peers. Our student to teacher ratio is, on average, 16:1.
We provide an all-inclusive education; from general Jewish studies, to arts and music, to secular studies. We cover all facets of a highly academic school.
In Shalsheles, Judaism is viewed as a cherished privilege. We use encouragement, not pressure, to enable our students to continue growing in their individual paths.
Our philosophy is to involve Shalsheles families in all aspects of school life. We help with specific, targeted outreach and include parents and family in many of our events.
